We are an Intermediate Care Facility (ICFMR) that specializes in the care of adult men with developmental disabilities.

Our main campus is located on 17 acres in the rural farm community of Lucasville, Ohio. The campus is one-half mile off of state Route 23, 15 miles North of Portsmouth, Ohio. The Manor, Chalet, Villa, and two guest houses are located on the main campus. In addition to our main campus, FGSM operates five residential facilities located in the Pike County area.

Our Mission

The mission of the Friends of Good Shepherd Manor (FGSM) is to provide a safe and nurturing home for adult men with developmental disabilities, where each individual can lead a life of dignity, development, and purpose.

Our Philosophy

It is the intent of FGSM:
1.To provide appropriate comprehensive services to each resident who receives services from the FGSM system throughout his lifetime.
2.To help each individual to achieve his developmental potential, increase and/or maintain his independence, and accept responsibility for his life.
3.To assure that each resident receives the dignity, respect, and rights to which he is entitled.

FGSM Goals
